I know I say this every time, but this issue was by far the most difficult to craft. While Issue #7 required careful choreography across the battle of the mind's eye, Issue #8 is all about the interior - what happens to our characters when they lose everything while fulfilling the vow they swore to undertake.
Apotheosis is a word that we began discussing quite extensively while working on this issue. The completion of Skies of Fire #8 represents the completion of the original work of Skies of Fire Vince and I set out to create all those years ago.
It's surreal that we're finally here.

One of the pleasures of growing as creators is the community and love for your fellow creators. Longtime fans know this, but we owe so much to the creator of Boston Metaphysical Society, Madeleine Holly-Rosling, who has been with us every step of our creative journey. Without her guidance one February at Long Beach Comic Expo, Skies of Fire might very well not exist today. She gave us the courage to continue pursuing our path independently right from the beginning.

Hey Everyone!
We're still working on Skies of Fire #8 which will release in early summer. Currently in the queue to be colored by the very busy Bryan Valenza. In the meantime, though, we wanted to share a couple of projects near and dear to us.
Lampblackis a new comic series by Camille Longley and Pablo Peppino, the longstanding artist for Skies of Fire and no small measure of our success. You can tell that Pablo is particularly passionate about Lampblackbecause it shares many of the same influences as Skies: cinematic storytelling (the comic is formatted in landscape) and Miyazaki chief among them. If you're a fan of Skies of Fire please consider supporting Lampblack. Doing so would mean the world to Pablo who has poured his heart and soul into the project. Check it out here!
We're also planning to launch the Kickstarter for Glow: Book 1 next Tuesday, April 20th, 2021. This is our second series and one that we're excited to finally bring into a collected edition! It's a huge deal for us overall as we move towards turning Mythopoeia into our full time dream jobs. Please, if you can, come out and support us on day one. Check out the project here!

European Shipping Update

Greetings! This week I bring good news!
European Shipping
So over the past two weeks or so I've been in contact with Vince, who some of you may remember has been dealing with some health issues over the past months. The good news is that after some visits to doctors, treatment, and some good ole fashion R&R, he's feeling much better!
Well enough to resume work at Mythopoeia and handle shipping for Skies of Fire! In fact, he already has the books in hands and will begin and probably complete shipping next week. Internally, one of our major goals as a company is still to automate distribution in a big way heading into 2021, allowing us to focus on more important things like creating things!
That said, we're happy to have one last hurrah shipping things ourselves. It's been a wild ride, that's for sure!
We Own the Sky Badges
If you haven't received your order yet and are in the USA or ROA, chances are it's because you have a We Own the Sky Badge in your order! These dang things... every single campaign there's an item that we don't quite have enough of to fulfill everything. This time it happens to be these badges.
Nonetheless, Vince scrounged up some on his end and sent me a package. As soon as I get it, rest of the orders go out.

Shipping Update - NA 95% wrapped, Canada Australia Out, Europe Next

Hey Everyone!
Here's where we're at:
There was a bit of delay in scanning of packages this week which I think was due to the election. Hopefully USPS is not too backed up but the majority of North American orders are out. I have a couple of unique packages to ship out still which I'll take care of early this week.
Canada / Australia / ROW sans Europe are also out for shipping, save for a few exceptions! The rest will be shipped this week.
The majority of the 300 or so packages left are from Europe. That said, I have some good news! The packages should start going out in about two weeks and will be shipped from the UK like our past campaigns.
